white fuse on snes mini

I thought I read in Ben's book that you can remove that white fuse and the black thing beneath it? If I am wrong that may be why my nintendo isnt working lol.

When I get back to my book Ill try and find what I am talking about and post a quote or page numbers.

You don't have a ground wired. Not the smartest thing...

You can't just have the positive lead connected & expect it to work. You have to have both the positive & ground (negative) leads connected.

Yes, you can remove them. Just heat up the joints, and pull with pliars. Worked for me.

one thing atari, thats not his picture

yeah you can get rid of the black thing. i did that but you need to put power in somewhere else

put ground into the grounding strips and 5 volts into both the input and output of were the 7805 on the snes should be (remove the 7805 on the snes)

ok thanks very much. Ill try that turbo. I also tried to remove the Audio/video input jack, Headphone jack, and the DC auxiliary power input. I haven't wired them back on yet because I think the only one I will use is the headphone jack. For some reason after I removed these items my tv wont come on anymore. What could be the cause of this. I am running off the 4 four batteries in the tv so I dont think its the fuse. I checked the voltage between where the positive and negative are on the board and that seems fine but I dont know what else to do.

Edit: I am using a casio ev-670 if that info is needed.

are you using 4 alkalines? or 4 rechargeables?

alkalines may be to much voltage, i'd really recommend a 7805 to play it safe

I am using 4 alkalines but thats what is required for the tv. the dc jack says 6v and my batteries read about 5.9x I dont think my voltage would be too high

you need ground connected between the screen and mobo if you want the sneses video on the screen.

are you getting a backlight?

lol the snes and tv are not connected. I am not get backlighting I assume thats what it means when the tv does not power on.
