Need help on building a PS2 portable
HI
I'm building a PS2 portable and I have a few questions.
1. What is the best way to connect a psone screen to the PS2.
2. How do you get the PS2 to run off a battery, the battery I'm going to use is the same one benheck used in his PS2 portable.

Just connect the composite video and the left & right audio places on the PStwo's motherboard to the appropriate pins on the psone screen. Google for the PStwo motherboard places, and the screen forum's sticky has the psone screen's info.
You need to make (or buy if you can) an adapter to get the battery to be detachable from the console (for charging and so).

1) learn how to solder without killing anyting, this takes time or $35000 for a sniper soldering machine, try first with a small FM radio kit at radioshack or some other cheap project
2) after experience, try gathering your materials and leaneverything about the blasted video signals, if you want composite (and you really don't, trust me) you will only need to connect 1 wire, RGB requires 3 wires and a sync stripping chip from the composite line makeing a total of four video wires, plus the two for audio
3) after you have everything LEARNT (no actual soldering yet) take a hwile and read up an www.freewebs.com/segasonicfan it really helps to learn from others
4) now gather you materials you will need the following: pstwo, batteries, a controller, variouss lengths of small gauge wire, solder, and something to cram it all in( these are the bare minimums options will increase the cost but will help in the long run, read up on segasonicfan's pstwop and start drooling)
5) when you have everything assembled, start by connecting the pswto up on batteries, always step one in portablizing
6) now connect the video up to the screen of choice (pso's are the best since they are 5", cheap, and are capable of RGB)
7) once those steps are done, connect your controller directly (this is the labor intensive part, it can be skipped for some neatness reduction, but that is your choice)
8) cram it into a case of some description and be happy
