He wants me to build him a PS2P, sent it to him, and if it's good enough, he'll pay me for it then.
Considering he's only got one post, we can't really trust him, so I'd sooner he pays for the project as it goes, but definitely not after I've sent him the PS2P.
GAMING CONSOLE PORTABLES!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!

I've said that he can pay for all the parts except for labour costs, because I'm not paying for a PS2 portable I don't want..
Him paying for the parts shows his commitment to the deal.
Then he can come and pick it up in person and pay labour costs.. If he doesn't want it, I'll take his knee caps.
I've got a nice big murky lake right by my house, I doubt anyone will find him.
If he's pissing me around and doesn't pay labour costs, I've still got the portable.
For just £100 labour, he's getting a steal...

No. Have him pay for the parts and 50% of the labor charge up front, then the rest of the labor charge when you finish. That's pretty much how contractors do buisness.

Hey, I see it this way. If he pays for all the parts in full and doesn't pay the labor you can still sell it to someone else and get a lot of extra cash. I would do this deal if I was asked to. I see his point though and I do not blame him for wanting to do this. Some of the things I have seen people try to make, ha ha, I wouldn't give a dollar for so I can see him not paying until he nows you can do it right.
Heck, the point is, JUST DO THE DEAL, that means both the seller and buyer.

You're missing the point.. He wants to pay for the WHOLE THING after he receives it.. He doesn't want to pay for the parts in advance, or the labour.Gamerdude wrote:Hey, I see it this way. If he paid for the parts in advance, I would do this, but since he wont, I'm not. Then he can come around to see the portable and inspect it. If he likes it, he can pay labour. If not, I'll sell it, and eventually refund him the parts costs.
