I agree, Google is by far the best search engine and email provider. Their IM has something to be desired, because everyone is using either MSN or AIM instead, so no one is ever on. Toolbars suck no matter what, they=lag and less screen space. For hard drive, I'm guessing you use "gmail space" for Firefox, its nice, but the upload is way too slow.

Most of the software in the Killer Apps thread is free.

Google.com has some of the best free stuff. Email, spreadsheets, word processing, chat, VoIP, search, videos, image editing, 3D graphics...

i once tried to get some free samples from fairchild they wouldnt let me because i didnt have a corprate email account (i use gmail) or some crap

Maybe they figured out where all un employed teen agers and they don't want us getting free PC magazine.

No, click at least one other mag, and PC mag is automatically sent when you put in your shipping info.
