I ordered the Atari 2600 Portable CNC-built Kit on Sunday and am having a lot of problems finding a Casio EV680, they are no longer in production and there are none on ebay (and just 2 weeks ago there were several on ebay). I ordered one from a website and 2 days later I was refunded because they were out of stock so yesterday I found another site that said they were "in stock" so I ordered it and now I am praying they can fill the order.
Is there another 3" Pocket TV that will work with the Atari 2600 Portable CNC-built Kit?

Sure, but you may have to modify the case a bit so the screen guts will fit right.
I thought The Sharper Image made a screen that was just a rebranded 680. If you still can't track one down, order a 3" LCD module from http://www.aeicomp.com . They're a bit expensive, but they are not bulky and sip power so you might get a little extra time out of the batteries.

hey, i'm having the same problem and i plan on building multiples of these, for a friend or two, so a reliable source for these would be nice.
i checked the link and although i don't see a 3" monitor, i do see a 3.5" one, which is tempting. i'm following ben's design for the CNC 2600, so i'd have to widen the bezel for the screen, which isn't a biggie, but if i don't use the casio tv option, i'm concerned about how to get the lcd monitor working (since i'm depending on ben's book for help), and the lcd screen would introduce a slight dilemma of not having audio already wired in. i'd need to somehow wire in a speaker, and 2 pots for volume and brightness, something the casio already has.
anybody gone this route and willing to assist?
