im trying to get my N64 to work through a HD usb adapter, sofar ive had no luck in getting the adapter/software to detect the console. if anybody have any idea on how i can do this please please tey me know or email me at teg106@soton.ac.uk
1) is the n64 turned on?
2) does it usually work on a TV?
3) does your usb adapter usually work?
4) are you pugging the cables in right? (ie NOT pugging it into Y'/Pb/Pr jacks on an HD adapter)
its a standard coaxial cable plug so the standard RF lead fits in it perfectly. if recieves television fine..... which is why i dont see why it cant detect the N64.
nah its a standard coaxial, ive scaned all the frequencies and it just cant fine it. bloody dissapointing coz i bought the adapter so i wouldnt need a tv and hence a lisence!
You're using an RF box, right? (Not just fitting the yellow plug to the coax jack somehow?) Sorry if this sounds really basic but I can't think of any other reason for it to not work...
i already have the RF adapter plugged in, came with the console. if no1 has any ideas does anyone know of another way i can play it through my laptop screen?
well there is this usb device that accepts RGB, it can be used on a computer, anyways it allows the user to use the screen of a computer thats hooked up to the computer to play games and videos and stuff like that, try www.froogle.com and search around - it's called usb to tv adapter I think, the main purpose was to allow a computer be hooked up to a TV through RGB
Try looking for a TV tuner Card that would fit in your Laptop, and use that with a RF cord and run the TV tuner on your Prefered Channel (Really doesnt matter) and It should work, But I really dont know, I have never tried it. In fact I may Try it right now because I have 2 TV tuner Cards.
