Hey peeps!!! I've been quietly ording parts for my own portable PC, however, I have ran into a little problem. I ordered a specific motherboard that was supposed to have built in VGA but this one has a PCI-E instead. I'm not complaining really...just curious about one thing.
The motherboard (PC Partner 915G/P) has the spot for a VGA connection if I flipped it over. In your opinions, do you think I can solder on wires to make this onboard compliant? Thanks!!!

Re: VGA Possible???
Does it have a GPU onboard? Look at the larger ICs on the board and see if any are ATI or nVidia or some other GPU. Also, are there any traces going to the VGA spot?Ness wrote:The motherboard (PC Partner 915G/P) has the spot for a VGA connection if I flipped it over. No pci risers for pci-e right now. Probably not for a while since it requires some power, and also, it'll cover up the pci slots too.
I'm gonna look for something smaller anyways WITH onboard video. I saw a few on mp3car.com that I like...just pricey. If anyone knows of any good sites that offer good boards at good prices, pass me the link. I know its not going to be cheap...but still. saving a dollar is better than nothing to me.
