NES over NOAC?

Post by shmagoogin77 »

is there any difference between a NES and a modded NOAC?
if the new NOACs play almost every game then what would be the advantage of using a NES?

Probably the only advantage is that you don't have to hook up the 72-pin connector. That's the only one that I can think of.
Meh, I don't post much.

Well the NOAC is lot smaller, and uses less power. But the NES can play all games (noac's have problems with Castlevania 3) and generally give a better pictue and audio.

Hope that helps.

Using a real NES also gives you all the limitations and glitchs that we oh so love! Flashing sprites, slow-mo, the works!. But yah I perfer original hardware over emulators/OC designs.

FOACs/NOACs not only have the same 'flashing sprites' (max per-scanline sprite limit) as the genuine units, but they usually run with MORE slowdown than genuine machines. And I still haven't run into one that even touches the audio reproduction of the original system.
