URGENT Audio help please! (page 2)

If I'm not to late getting in on this thread, or even if I am I suppose, auto parts stores are a great place for fine grit sandpaper. The autozone down the street here carries up to 2000 wet, which probably wouldnt scratch your iPod, but it would leave a wonderful shine. (Seriously, dont even hold a peice of sandpaper near your iPod, I couldn't handle that sort of guilt)

Okay I did some more work on my pNES and its coming along quite well.
All I have left to do is

+Wire the controller to the SJ3
+LED mod the hipgear screen
+Wire a power switch
+and touch up the case w/ another coat of paint and some fine sanding.

Oh, I've been debating on whether or not to paint the GBO buttons used in the mockup. I never did find those NES buttons

So what do you guys think I should do:

-paint the GBO buttons black
or
-leave the GBO buttons as-is?

Now I just have to LED mod the screen and wire up the power.

I finally found the NES buttons! woo!

Im using krylon fusion paint, and I was wondering if I need to put a coat of that clear overspray stuff on? or will the paint stay on fine without it.

The paint will stay on without overcoat, but it always gives it a nice look, and it makes it smoother, so I say use overcoat.

So I finished all of the wiring. Annnd it doesnt work.

So tomorrow im gonna go over it and check for shorts and whatnot. Hopefully I can fix it.

Man, the same thing happend to my other NOAC portable

On a brighter note, this thing looks frickin' sick IMO.

Does anyone know what the minimum voltage a Suuper Joy 3 and a Hipgear can run on? I want to think its some where around 5 volts, but im not sure...

Half-Day at school tomorrow! So I should be able to take a look at it and hopefully finish it.

Ok. yeah I charged the batteries and sure enough, it works!

One last problem, Now I can't seem to get any audio. I desoldered the Headphone jack because I bondo'd the hip gear case too far down and I had to cut off the two little "hooks" on the adjustment board.

I tried bridging different headphone contacts, and nothing. So if anyone knows where I can input audio, let me know. Thanks

Yeah there is, Its what im using, but its not working...

Ill take a more in-depth look at it tonight.
