Mac Media center+ Wiimote= PWNage

I am planing on getting a Mac mini for our Home media center,and i got a idea and a few questions-
Are there any good on-Screen keyboards for mac?
How accurate is the wiimote on DarwiinRemote?
What is the max resolution on it?
Is this setup worth the cost?

I'd recommend at least 1 GB of Ram, and at least 80 GB HDD. I didnt read, but make sure its an Intel Mac Mini!

Anyway, Darwiin remote is pretty sweet. Its pretty accurate with the movements. It has the potential to pretty much cancel out the need for a mouse (or trackpad in my case)

In the end, I'd say It's worth it every penny.

Quick rap up:
512 MB of Ram (Good enough for me)
60 GB hard drive (Never filled up my 80 gig anyways.)
Intel Core Duo Processor
Mac OS X v10.4 tiger

Trust me, you will want 1 GB of ram. Macs usually fail when it comes to ram. You want atleast 1 GB, even 2 GB. My Macbook is barely fine with 1 GB of ram, and i'm using a 2 Ghz model

But how will this look plunged into my HD
and on-screen key boards? How are they for mac?
Only macs I've ever had are:
A old Mac OS 6 laptop
A power mac with Mac OS 8

This question makes me think you are hoping to do it yourself. Don't. These things are a pain in the butt to disassemble, and you will probably void your warranty.

Apple always trys to fill the slots which for some reason makes the ram more effiecient. I'd say buy two 512 and sell the two 256.

I know in my Macbook i chose 1 GB and i have two 512 in it.

Btw, for the 80 GB HDD and the 1 GB of Ram, the Mac Mini will cost you $724 with free shipping from the Apple Store

Take out the 80 GB HDD and keep the 60 GB and it will cost $699

Quick question, if i brought a 120 Gig Hard drive, would the apple store install it for free with the memory?
I've got a spare one and i could sell the 60 Gig.

I have one stick of PC6400 DDR RAM in my desktop, it's not running in dual channel mode so the BIOS forces it to run in PC5200 single channel. I really should buy another stick of RAM!

Anyways, back to the iMatter at iHand.iWill get the 599$ model, get a wiimote and install DarwiinRemote, and plug it into my HDTV. Go iMii! (Combo! Double B**** slap'D!)

I used a wiimote on my media center setup. Unfortunately, I have to manually sink up the wiimote with the bluetooth software before I can use it, and there is no power saving like there is with the wii, so batteries die fast. Built a quick IR reciever and am gonna try using my universal remote next.
