simple facts -
1. The universe is infinetely large, so therefore, there are an infinite amount of living, intelligent races out there.
2. The chances of interstelar travel ever bringing them to us is about as likely as the entire universe imploding.
3. If they were to come, I doubt they'd be wanting to fight, they'd probably react just like us - WTF (what the fudge!) is up with these aliens?
4. The reason why fiction always illustrates aliens coming to us as opposed to the other way around is because this creates more of a dramatic tension and feeling of uncertainty.
5. This thread is now in a good place! (=

When did this happen,Jongamer wrote:there are no ALIENs at Area 51, you can wish but there is not, people claim they see UFOs there because they do, our UFOs that our country doesnt want the rest of the world to know, because they are Experimental Aircraft, hell I live next to a Air force base where they test flew the Stealth bomber and people around here claimed they saw a UFO Phttt, I dont Beleive in ALIEN UFOs, but I beleive on life on other planets in the Universe, Hmmm I wonder if the Universe is Infinite, or keeps repeating itself once you get past a certain point, or is there a wall at the End of the Universe, I still wonder about that when I try to sleep. hmmmmm, I dont wanna think about it to much or I might go crazy lol.

i saw a UFO once... the lights at least. That is, something that was unidentified and probably flying. It was November of 2005, probably between 9 and 10 PM.
I was driving back towards Verona, and was probably about 5 miles north of where Jones lives (Belleville, WI, home of many UFO stories) Anyway, all of a sudden I see a blue light, lighting up the area in front of and to the left of me. I didn't see a light source, but the area was lit up.
At first I thought it was a car approaching from behind, but then I realized the lights weren't behaving in that manner and thus I was confused. The light source appeared to move from left to right (west to east) and as it passed over I felt a shudder, as if a large vehicle had passed by my car. No other cars were in the area.
It was strange enough that I stopped about a quarter mile later and looked back... nothing. A friend of mine was with me in the car, and while he's a complete and utter skeptic, even he admits that it was "something weird"
Earlier that same day I had noticed a lot of people out with trucks shining deer at dusk (that's where you drive around and shine spotlights into fields to see how many deer are around) and it was around hunting season, so this could have been the source of the light, but I'm not so sure. Most of those floodlights are yellow, not blue, and this was on a more major road where people are a lot less likely to shine deer. The amount of light was quite beyond a spotlight. Plus all the deer shiners had been a lot further southwest of the position in a more, shall we say, "rural" part of the state.
I also had a friend of mine check, there's no major aircraft approach vectors in that area, closest thing is a few rural landing strips within the same 20 square miles or so.
I've heard UFO stories from my family and some friends, but this is the only first-hand account I have.

I too saw a UFO once...It was sometime last October. I was on my way to work one night (I work 3rd shift, so it was 11ish), and in the sky, I saw an odd orange glow. At first I thought it was just the moon, but then I remembered that it was really cloudy out, so cloudy that the moon would only be a faint glow at the very most!
So as I drove along, I kept an eye on the object as it hovered just above tree level. It could've been the fact that I was moving at 55, but it sure seemed like it was just perfectly hovering where it was.
After a few minutes of observing the light, I passed by a dense group of trees, near the side of the road. The light was totally blotted out by the trees for a collective of about 10 seconds, but once I passed the trees, I looked to see the light again, but the light was gone!
I'm not all that sure what it was, but I was about 2 or 3 miles away from Volk Field (local military airbase). It could've been a heliocropter with a search light on...but then...why would a US military chopper be running a massive search light on some guys corn field?
I doubt it could've been hunters or anything, since I know there are no tree stands in that area (know the people who own that area), let alone a tree-stand that is THAT tall (many of the trees there are over 50ft tall!). Plus, it wasn't hunting season at the time either.
I wouldn't at all be surprised it was some brand-new military super jet...I mean, who'd suspect the hideout for the next next gen fighter would be in little ol' Wisconsin?

Here's my theory...
Life on other planets, whether they're single celled or not, exist, but the chances of them having technology that lets them fly vast distances and stuff in seconds, and abducting people sticking something up their ass and sending them back down, is small...
If the shoe was on the other foot, we'd have made first contact by now, and we'd certainly abduct someone, disect them and not return them with a big pole up their ass.
We consider ourselves to be the highest beings, besides god for those who were about to stab me...
But what if our Universe is like a cell? Our bodies are composed of cells and inside our cells we've got loads of crap we don't understand. Somehow it all works they work together to form us.
A lot of cells are nearly identical, these could be our equivelant of parallel universes... We could be part of a higher being, and the big bang could be cell division.
Who knows?
Millions of planets, a few thousand in the same conditions as ours... We'd at least see exotic plant life on other planets.. That's alien enough to prove we're not alone in my opinion.

Do you think they have periods and spellcheckers on their planet?Jongamer wrote:there are no ALIENs at Area 51, you can wish but there is not, people claim they see UFOs there because they do, our UFOs that our country doesnt want the rest of the world to know, because they are Experimental Aircraft, hell I live next to a Air force base where they test flew the Stealth bomber and people around here claimed they saw a UFO Phttt, I dont Beleive in ALIEN UFOs, but I beleive on life on other planets in the Universe, Hmmm I wonder if the Universe is Infinite, or keeps repeating itself once you get past a certain point, or is there a wall at the End of the Universe, I still wonder about that when I try to sleep. hmmmmm, I dont wanna think about it to much or I might go crazy lol.

Think about an ant farm. They are hundreds of tiny dumb beings, but we watch them work and build up their environment. It's entertainment to them.Harshboy wrote:Why are we always the planet being visited. Why are we the dumb beings that cant go trillions of miles into space. Seariously, I'm sure that there is other life out there, but they are certainly not little green men comming to our planet with their super UFOs.
Just my 2 cents
I saw a UFO a few years ago, at summer camp. We gathered up for a carnival type occasion around 8:00PM August 6th, and while the camp staff leader was giving announcments I looked up at the sky which was dark by then, and I saw three red lights in a triangular patern circling above us. The thing flew to the east, stoped, and then went west without doing any kind of turn. It didn't make a sound.

Well, I saw an odd occurance one time. I was walking down the street to the park, and I looked left then right before crossing the road. On the left was the normal trees and the culdesac and on the right was this fat guy on the side walk. He was really ugly. He looked like a hippy. What was wierd was: he was just standing there.
Well, I continued down the road, and when. I got to the park, I met up w/ Jack and we shot a video. Afterwards I rode with him on his bike back to my house. As we passed by where the fat guy was a saw this HUGE black spot where he was standing. He either:
A. Spontaneously combusted
B. Lit some weed and farted near the joint
C. Was shot by driveby, then exploded. (megaman style)
D. Abducted by aliens

problem with theory shocky, did you ever see the man again?
Also, you do know cars leave carbon deposits on the road all the time from the tail-pipes right?
Also, I am not saying there isn't intellegent life out there, just why have they done the intellegent thing and at least introduce themselves? or do they have a strict underdeveloped interaction policy? (too much sci-fi I know)
Also, if they need our resources and are more advanced than we are, why not wipe us out, place us in slavery, that kinda thing,
And Yes I do believed in Unidentified Flying Objects, what they are well....read the damn acronym
