snes scrambled video

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

snes scrambled video

when I start my snes sound and video are output, but the video kinda scrolls diagonally from top right to bottom left. Any ideas how to fix this??

Clean your cartridge. (rubbing alcohol) clean your cart connector. Most of the time I have his the cart isn't connecting properly.

Take your Cart out, clean it, reinsert.

If that didnt fix it then.

This is connected to a TV or small LCD screen?

If its connected to your TV with an RF box check to see if your TV is on the correct channel.

If its connected to a small LCD screen for a portable are the grounds between the SNES and LCD connected? If not you get a nice scrolling effect.

It's on a t.v and I tried through RF and RCA video cables. I have 2 SNES and the game works on my other one first try.

Clean your snes cartridge connector. (as I said above)

(the actual connector on the snes)

Did you do any mods to it.

ps. I know a guide that helps fixing a cart slot. It says you got to bend the pins a bit. or something. I'll look for it.

All I di was jump the resistor because it was open. It diplays video but goes diagonally from top right-bottom left scrolling, perfect sound...
