Do modchips work on DS lites?

Do modchips work on DS lites? Are there special ones for them? or is the lite's circutry the same as the DS Phat.

They have modchips for the DS? What's the point? You can easily just reflash the BIOS a large number of different ways!

yeah there is one DS modchip, but it only affects GBA games, it uses the X and y buttons and Toggles for Turbo and thats it.

That seems like a good reason to risk killing your DS.
