More money, plus the touch screen is something that doesn't appeal to all, but traditional handhelds do.

as for the whole Blu ray vs hd dvd thing, there was some discussion about it here:

sounds like people are agreeing that DVD just became the standard, and we don't really want something new. I really agree with that.

I also noticed that NTSC was going out, good! I hope the idea of widescreen gets scrapped too, my portable telly doesn't do it very well

yeah blue ray is a lot better
