question about xbmc and exploits

Post by dudex77 »

hi i have a pal xbox an today in realization its useless except for halo 2 i wanted to mod it or something. i read up on using the exploits in splinter cell and mechassault but it doesnt say if it works on pal xboxs or if the versions are the same. so could i do the exploit or not? if not can the xecuter 3 go online or does it get noticed and get your account banned?

Hey, yes it works absolutly fine for pal xbox's. You need special modded pal files though. I have them for splinter cell. Wait, i'll upload them to the web for you to download...

EDIT:
Ok i'm uploading them now. When they are done they will be in this folder:

http://www.landofflash.com/crap/

Just download both files, put them on your xbox memory card, copy them to your xbox, load splinter cell, load the save, install softmod, kick butt!

If you use MechAssault or the Bond 007 exploit, the hack is the same for both NTSC and PAL.

You can run unsigned code (backups and homebrew, including homebrew that allows you to install games onto the hard drive) and allows you to change the dashboard to whatever you want. (I suggest XBMC.) If you need any help or advice, feel free to PM me or get me on AIM.

you need to copy the whole c: drive over (and e: if you want music (?) and game saves) to the new drive

you also need to "lock" the drive using a utility thats on a DVD (there are many).

You can follow this guide to install a larger hard drive.

You can turn them off with a switch. Softmods are permantly on there (unless you unisntall them). Softmods can sometimes mess up your box if you take out the power cord, then put it back in again.

You can easily turn on/off the softmod by loading the exploited gamesave again; you don't have to completely uninstall/reinstall the softmod.

Hmm really? On SID4 I can't see anywhere to turn off the softmod, without uninstallling it permantly.
