Anyway, I noticed there wasn't a Valentine's Day topic here, so I was just wondering how it was for everyone? Many people here aren't old enough to have girlfriends, so for you guys... I guess you probably just got a little candy or something? Many other people here, sorry to say, were probably all emo and such today because you're just sensitive geeks/otaku that, while some of you may actually shower and be okay looking guys (despite the various stereotypes saying otherwise), you're too shy to ever ask a girl out. That's fine, whatever... I'm not judging or anything. But, I created this topic so some of you guys can just... talk about it. You know you want to. As for you OTHER other guys that actually have girlfriends, you guys are welcome to gloat about your day as well.
As for me... well.. I'm 16, I've never had a girlfriend, and I've been home-schooled since 5th (I think...) grade, so I haven't really had the opportunity to... "date." I'm not too very saddened by this, however. I go to my brother's college every Wednesday to the anime club and sometimes every other saturday, for gaming. I don't really have any friends, but I don't have any problem with my social skills whatsoever when I talk to anyone. I just don't have enough time to really "get to know" anyone enough. Now... I'm obviously inexperienced in the dating end of things, but I have no problem waiting a couple years until I go to college and THEN worrying about a girlfriend (but not enough so to let my grades fall by the wayside
My Valentine's day was SUPPOSED to consist of my watching anime with my brother and a bunch of other otaku, then going to Cyber Cafe and buying a foot-long meatball sub, sitting with the anime club people that instantaneously take over Cyber Cafe as SOON as the club lets out at 9:00PM, staying there an hour and a half and a calling a cab to be back home by 11:00PM... just like any other Wednesday.
However, I ended up getting there, hanging out with the BEST GIRL EVER. (Who I guess is actually the only friend I have.) She's 22, cute, has an AWESOMELY PERFECT personality that is IMPOSSIBLE to NOT be happy when around (she's always just so happy and bouncy!), and she's very... "open" about stuff like hugging and hanging on and "wrapping around" me and my brother (her best friends, she says). She's also not afraid to talk about... really anything to almost anyone. She'll watch some of the worst hentai you can think of sitting right next to you and just... laugh at the multiple tentacles flying about.
Anyway, after talking a bit we went in and watched one of the better anime's they show and went back into the hall again once it was over because they went to their 15 minute half-way break. (The meeting lasts from 6:00 to 9:00... so...) Then, she fell asleep to me rubbing her head, which was in my lap, while holding my other hand and cuddling up next to me on the bench out in the hallway. I just kinda... let her sleep for the rest of the meeting and continued to sit there rubbing her head. She didn't want to get up because she said I was "so comfy" and that I was "really good at this" (rubbing her head) and that I have "magic hands." ...>.< Please, no jokes about ANY of that... When she wasn't sleeping, she would also rub her hand back and forth against my arm because she said she liked the feel of my skin and how soft it was.
It might sound boring to some people, or I don't know... it might even sound "pathetic" to others, but... it was probably the best Valentine's Day I've ever had. 'Course, she's actually ENGAGED to some guy she's known for years and years, who her family knows and loves and who everyone in both of their families pretty much KNEW was going to end up marrying her ever since they became friends in high-school. She's never been able to spend a Valentine's Day with him though, because he goes to college out-of-state. Not to mention she's like... 6 years older than me. So, it's not like anything could "happen," but... I'm okay with that... I think. It would be awesome to be her boyfriend if... certain things were different, but they're not, and I think being her good friend who she trusts and is comfortable around enough to fall asleep cuddled up next to is good enough for now. It will "hold me out" until I get a girlfriend, you know?
Anyway, this is what this thread was made for... just splurge... tell us all about what you did on Valentine's Day, and if you feel the need to, like I apparently did, just start typing out your feelings. Tell us about your "love life..." uh, without going into details that would violate certain rules set in place on these forums.
