DC homebrew not working

I used this
guide to burn dreamcast games, and it didnt work. my dreamcast is compatible, and I have tried NUMEROUS times to burn games. I follow the guide exactly, and my dreamcast is "compatible" with homebrews. someone told me to clean the lens with 91% alcohol. it didnt work. why, why why???
can anyone help me?

how fast do you burn? You gotta do it at like 8x or something really slow haha.

use Nero. Window's XP's burner DOES NOT WORK!!! RTrust me, I know from experience
