Which Television is better for the $$$

Post by Bay_Wolf »

Linky

Well I am shopping around for a good television for around $200. Does that tv look like it is? If anyone has it can they tell me how they like it.

Regards

EDIT: Look at 2nd page for other TV. And post a reply telling me which one you think is better and why.

Yeah, it's a pretty good deal. Lot's of inputs, hi-def, and is wide screen!

Ok I have one more question about this tv. I have Dish Network, if I plug it in through the RF input will it stretch the picture to widescreen and make it look awful or what?

Yes it will, the TV doesn't have a tuner in it to make the broadcast look better. But that doesn't necessarily make it look terrible. But I don't know how picky you are.

a lot of widescreen tvs these days have various combinations of zoom, stretch and crop preset into them; instead of just stretching or cropping standard-def they zoom in a little too so it looks more natural but still fills the screen

couldnt tell you what this particular model does though

doesnt your receiver have like s-video on it or something?
