In all honesty, selling stuff on ebay has made me more money than any of my friends with real jobs. Although you have to spend money to make money; the best way to start off is to sell some of your own old crap that people might be interested in. Market it well, get a good $100 in your pocket, and start hunting! Garage sales are the best place, along with your local Goodwill/Salvation Army or various other thrift stores, and the occasional pawn shop if they don't charge you out the ass for stuff.
Many old items, especially some old consumer electronics devices (heck, even the SNES and NES are pulling up to $75 a pop on ebay!) make you a killing. Just keep your eye out, make a regular thing of it, and after about a month, you can have a substantial amount of cashflow on a regular basis. Good luck!

Thats about the same boat I'm in. But I have a paper route.vskid wrote:I think I'm gonna start doing what you do, CTFan. Too bad I'm not 18 so I'll just have to use my dad's account (he has ~30 feedback at 100%). And when I get my driver's license it'll be a lot easier to go to thrift stores on a regular basis, my mom doesn't take me because I spend forever in there.
.
I was also thinking of getting a paper route to fund the initial buying of stuff to sell.gamemasterAS wrote:Thats about the same boat I'm in. It is a very easy job though, Just pop in your head phones pop the papers in the mail boxes, And kiss ass for tips.

I could never get up that early and/or face the cold weather heh. I'm all for the selling of things. If you're young sell stuff to you're mates. I sell lighters and matches to people. They sell well because most children/adults have an obsession with fire and are almost fixated with it. I buy them for about 7p each as I buy in bulk and then sell, sell, sell. If you work at it for a while the profit rolls in.
Oh and anything sparkly or shiny sells well.

We have sweet lighters that minors can randomly buy ( all the rest in wal-mart are restricted ), They are black metal ones that make big blue very hot flames.dj-spuddy wrote:I could never get up that early and/or face the cold weather heh. A paper route(depending on the number of customers) makes about 10-12 bucks an hours. Only thing is you only get like 3 hours a week.gamemasterAS wrote:Well, I'm 13 ( almost 14 ) and the only job I can get is a paper route.![]()
