PSone unknown chip - possible region swapper

Post by Rellizate »

Hey,
I have a psone that has a weird chip on the motherboard. It has one wire coming off it onto the 5v point in the 7805 and two wires coming off it onto two other places on the board. I thought that it might be a region swapper thing.

Here are some pictures.

Sorry about the huge pictures.

Anyone know what it is?

Sorry but I can't see anything in those pictures. :( (Motion blur, mostly. You're also a bit too close to not use macro mode.)

Can you re-take it, following one of these guides?

Probably a modchip of some sort.

Stand a couple feet away from the mobo when you take the pictures.

Hmm ok. I've looked at modchips on the net and they have a lot more than 3 pins mostly... I dunno whatever.

Thanks anyway.
