Sandisk Sansa Help, for pavor!

Okay my sister bought a 2 gig Sandisk Sansa m250 yesterday. Today we tried using it to record. Recording worked normally, but when we tried to play the recording back, the progress bar went from 0:00 to -3:51 or something. I think the WAV file it generated might be bad.

Whenever you turn it on, it goes past the Sandisk screen but sticks on the "Sansa" splash screen.

The PC won't recognize it as a removable storage device, but it did before.

The WAV file is probably bad. Any way to make the PC recognize it? (It did before we recorded stuff.) Or maybe there's some reset button somewhere?

something happened to my sansa like this, i just took the battery out and put it back in and it is fine

Nah we tried that. It still gets up to the "sansa" splash screen and stays there.

I think it's still trying to play back that WAV file that apparently has a play length of -3:51.

Damn you Sandisk for not including a hard reset pinhole switch!

on my sansa e250 there is a hard(?) reset if you hold the power button down for a reasonably long time (10 or 15 sec)

I had once a MamboX P505 mp3 player. Worked fine for a couple of years... then it got corrupted or somthing strange. On my mac, reading did fine, but when you worte to it, it kernal panicked my mac somehow.. Then it wouldn't boot..

My sloution was to quickly pulse 1.2vdc though the input termals, it zapped the ram. Now it works fine.. don't know about yours though...
