I am going to build a DCp. I know I said this a few months ago but I never got around to it, I know this is already a bad idea because I opened it up today, I forgot to unplug it and shocked myself
it sucks that im a noob. I already have a:
PS1 screen,
DC w/4 controllers and keyboard
GC cord for power supply
soldering supplies
what do I need for TV out? what do I need to get batteries in it and also be able to plug it in.
again, im a noob
I already know what to solder for what, I got some pics from anjan
go to portablesofdoom and theres like a batterry diagram and stuff or ask dkap id be interested to find out how he managed to wire his up just using 2 rc battery packs

As for the TV out, if you're talking about using a screen other then the PSone screen, you can either still use the Dreamcast's A/V out or you can replace it with RCA jacks. If you're doing the latter then go to gamesx.com, they have a pinout of the Dreamcast's A/V so you'll know what spots on the board to solder to.

Its been a long time since I've looked inside of a dreamcast, but if there are heatsinks on there (which I'm almost positive there are since I know there are fans), then you should have some. If the heatsinks already on there are too big for your portable, you can scale them down some, but you must make sure that heat is transferred off of the processors.
You'll also need to have fans to circulate the air inside the portable so it does not become too hot.
