Anyone know a good free antivirus+firewall thing for the computer? Thanks in advance.

Firewall: Outpost or ZoneAlarm

Antivirus: AVG

Don't use AntiVir. I've seen it "at work", and it misses a bunch of stuff.

My advice for the firewall thing? Install a router, change the default internal IP settings on it, and disable some common hack ports. (You can find instructions online, probably lists of ports different programs rely on, too.) Get a decent Linksys or Cisco wired router. (No wireless, because then Script Kiddie Billy can use your wireless connection to get on your computer and wreak havoc anyways.) Hardware is tougher to circumvent than software.

www.avast.com

It's free, just enter an email address and they'll send you a license code. Works great.

I don't know if I can recommend ZoneAlarm anymore, seems it has gone downhill. But it's not a bad choice.
