I have figured out a way by useing the points on the Genesis 1/Mega Drive 1 Models labeled JP1, JP2, JP3,, and JP4
these are located near the Bottom right hand side of the Mobo, There are 8 Soldering points, For Japanese on a American Genesis, jump JP1 to the soldering point directly to the Left of it, and then cut the
Traces from JP2 that Connects to the soldering point to the left of that, and then cut the Trace between J4 and the other soldering point to the Left of it, once you boot it, a lot of American Games will not boot in Japanese, but the Games I have that will boot are,
Streets of Rage (American Version Boots up to a Title screen that says Bare Knuckles instead of Streets of Rage, and the Story that is explained at begining of the Game is all In Japanese)
Sonic (American Version, I dont see a Differance but there probably will in the Credits, but I still havnt beaten this game So IDK)
Sonic 2 (American Version, Only differ, is that in 2 player Instead of calling Tails, "Tails" its accually changed to Miles.
Ok none of my other American Games will boot, and I dont have any Imported Mega Drive Games from Japan.
To switch your American Version to PAL, and PAL TV Signal.
Ok like above Cut the 2 Traces, now Connect JP3 to the point directly to the Left of it, and the Same games that booted with Japanese Setting is Bootable on PAL, But PAL TV Signal is Messed up of Course on a American NTSC TV, the Screen is smashed really Flickery because of the Signal, and in Black and white.
Now You can Combine PAL and Japanese if you Desire in Europe to play Japanese Mega Drive Games, just do all of what I said and You should be able to Play Jap games on a PAL TV, You can also add a 2 position switch and Switch you console back and forth between Regions.
Oh and with the Genesis, with both the Traces I told you to cut have, and What I mean by a 2 Position switch, well when the Traces are cut, the system will boot by Default to American NTSC, so all you do is add a switch In between the 2 Points for a Jap Console, you can connect an Disconnect them with a Switch whenever you want, and you can just have the Switch hanging out the Expansion door for the CD attachment, or if you have the CD attachment for it, you can cut yourslef some hole in the Side so It doesnt get in the Way.
Now to Switch the Mega Drive into a Genesis, Cut the Trace on J3 and the point to the Left, and then Connect Jp1 to the Point to the Left, and then JP4 to the Point to the left, and now the European Mega Drive should Out put the NTSC American TV Signal and Boot up American Games.
and ATM I have not Figured out what JP4 is, so I'll connect them and See what I get when It is Switched to Japanese or PAL.
EDIT!!!:
JP4 does not have to be connected to anything, I dont even know why its there, If I connect with the Pin to the Left of it and Turn the system Into PAL mode, the System wont even turn on, once connection with JP4 was Disconnected, it booted, and with JP4 Connected, Japanese boots up and there are no Changes, American Also runs fine with 4 Connected (Naturally because it was connected.
