I have 2 questions, can someone post a tutorial or help me on how to cut up an old keyboard. I also was wondering if it is possible to rewire (and work) a ps/2 into a usb keyboard.
Thanks!

those are only good for usb peripherals that were designed to work in ps/2 ports. a lot of usb keyboards/mice will do that. it does not work the other way around.
i have seen some ps/2 keyboards with a ps/2>usb straight-thru adapter but those are pretty rare, at least to me. you would likely need a ps/2>usb adapter, which generally go for around $20 or so and can vary in quality. i do not really see how you can hack a ps/2 into a usb keyboard otherwise.

if you want to hack the keyboard into a controller of some sort, (without messing with the ps/2 stuff), arcadecontrols.com has some good info.
