The battery alone will probably cost you more than $10. You CAN get lucky & find a good screen just laying around, but don't count on it. A screen will probably cost you about $40 at the cheapest.

Also, It's guranteed you N64 mobo will fry before you know it. Most here have gone through AT LEAST 3 N64's before assembling a working portable!

I'll give you an average price list.

Screen = $50.00
DC-DC Convertor = Free
Batteries depends (mine cost $50.00, NiMH 8.4V 4500 MaH, charger included)
Case (mine cost $25) = varies on what you reall want.

These are the main things. Of course you need electrical equipment which I'm hoping you have.

So all in all a N64p will cost maybe $150 to build... maybe.
Use your talents for God's Glory!

:D You are very prepared!

Run it off batteries first, then hook up the screen and run it off batts. Then extend your controller. Then spend a loooong time pondering, and schemeing the design! Then build it in and secure it all.

Well those sort of are the most expensive. Search ebay for Psone screen or Hipgear screen pad

Thank you,
I was plaining to get the psOne screen but the memory cartridge got in the way. Do remove the same way as the moving the cart slot

And What kind of batteries do you recommend? I was thinking of Nickel Metal Hydride.

Togg,

FIrst of, CHange your title. My uncle was getting really excited about you.

secondly, as long as you know what you are doing, how you are doing it, and when you are, I think you can do it. (Just the under $10 part? Not gonna happen.)

Good luck.

Most people get a basic case for their first portable. Just to start you off
