Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

Post by Master of Portables »

i have been busting my back sanding for 2 days with 100, 220 320 and 600 grit sandpaper, and i am now painting my case, does the paint make the case look not smooth? bondo sure is an amazing case tool:)

Paint will not make the case lose any smoothness from sanding. If anything it will make it look more smooth depending on how thick the paint is (and providing that it's applied correctly). It will, however, bring out any surface imperfections if they are big enough for the paint to sink into (ie, a scratch or dent that you missed while sanding). If there are any surface imperfections, how well they stand out will depend on what color you're painting the case, but if you thoroughly sanded up to 600 grit then I doubt it will be a problem.
