i broke a cicuitboard is there any way to fix it?

atari controler board.
broke it try ing to cut it to reposision button

You could rewire all the traces, but that would be hard. Your best bet is to buy a new one. Sorry.

or etch your own. or replace it with a tact switch or something.

If that's all that's broken why not hook up a tact switch to the traces? Dig them out to expose some copper, wire a button, and presto!

Assuming it'll fit back into the case after.

Well, you could try hotgluing it back together and linking the broken traces back together, but you'd be better off using tactile switches.

thats the first thing i thout i'd do but it would make the button not work well if you look at my pic.

tac switches? can i get these at the local electric supply store?(i buy computer parts from them)

Depends. You're not going to find tact switches at Radio Shack. You might be able to get them at Fry's (if you live on the west coast). Your best bet would be to buy a cheap toy radio from the dollar store. I picked up a little scan FM radio and both of its buttons have tact switches. (albiet little ones) It's not the most cost-effective way to get them, but it's the most convenient for most of us.

WHOA! Shrink down your avatar a bit. We have a rule here, not sure what it is, but I think it's 150 max width.

As for tacts, you COULD go around and look for them. There's an electronics store near me that sells them for $1 each. WAY overpriced, but the only local source.

You can ask GANNON. He gave me some free awhile back, if you only need 5, he'd probably let you have them if you asked nicely enough.
