i dunno. maybe junk to all you kids who read too many hardware news sites and apparently are made of money

but its a perfectly fine computer for everything except games, and the price is sexcellent.

its not far from the "good" computer in my house right now (minus awesome video card and bigger hard drive)

Its not that bad, it owns our computer in processing speed, and it comes with XP Pro, so you're really only paying $100 for the computer.

Whats wrong with the Computer, That compy is better than 80% of the Computers in my house, hell that computer has the Same Processor as the Computer I am on right now, and is a lot better than the Computer in my room.

This is a Major Bargain, and since when is it not good for Gameing?
2.66 GHZ is plenty to run most games, you just probably won't be able to play High end graphics in Far cry and Other games like that, those Computers normally need to be water cooled and all that crap.

Hopefully I can Talk my Parents into getting 2 of these, one for my bro and 1 for me. I got a crappy Dell 700 Mhz PC in my room and I can barely play Roller coaster tycoon, and my bros computer can Barely run SNES roms, at 200mhz Packard Bell Designed for Windows 95, and only has 80megs of ram and thats with Full memory Upgrade

I dont want to hear this computer is crap, I want this Compy because its cheap, and I will at least be able to play GTA: San Adreas on my Compy and Halo and Etc.

And unlike most of you, i am not made of cash and Dont use a Computer my Parents bought for over $3,000.

and 40 gig HDD isnt bad at all considering, my bros Pakard Bell only has a 3 gig HDD, and my Computer has a 10 GIG, and the Compy I unseing for the Internet has a 120gig HDD.

Those HP work computers have really sucky video hardware, and as far as I know they don't have AGP slots. (At least the ones my old high school had didn't.)

If you just want an internet and word processing box it's good. But if you want a computer to play games besides Worms, look elsewhere. (besides you're paying $200 for something old.)

This one has an AGP slot, but you need to get a low profile card. Still not gonna play new games, but at least ones a couple years old.

It's cheap, but its technology is archaic.

I firmly believe that a computer featuring newer and more powerful technologies can be had for a similar price- perhaps fifty or a hundred more.

Software doesn't matter much in the equation. I can probably point to anyone in the forum and be sure they had thier own stash of cracked software :P A cheap computer should have a modern motherboard, and budget variaties of modern components. Even socket 754 Semprons would beat out that ancient 2.66 P4. Slap in the minimum amount of ram, any old hard drive, cd drive, etc. You get a cheap but easily upgradeable computer.

Yeah, my computer's 2.8Ghz....of course, I have plenty of RAM :D.
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!
