psone screen votage?

i just got my screen and i want to be very careful with it. the spot where you have to connect 5v to pin 12, does it need a switch? or does it allow you to just use a switch where you connect 7v?

ok. now i got my screen running with led's. i did not need the 5v connection mine works when the ac adapter is plugged in. something i noticed is that if i use a 100ohm resister to limit current to my led's, the resister does not get very warm, but the led's are not as bright. if i use a 30ohm resister they are brighter but the resistor gets a lot warmer. is this normal or will it hurt my resister?

6v volts in a psone screen worked ok for me
