for all you interested in engineering, theres a bit of a distinction between electrical and computer engineering, at least at my school.

yes, they are very similar and are grouped into ECE (electrical/computer engineering) at most schools. but elec is more "lets analyze some circuits and then go build a transformer" and comp is more "lets go design a microcontroller in an FPGA and then look at some timing diagrams".

im in computer engineering, and if your goal is to build the next blackbox, then that is where you want to be.

basically it comes down to elec being more macro-scale (power distribution, circuit analysis, transformers, amplifiers) and comp is more micro-scale (circuit integration, digital logic, computer architecture). of course there is like 60% overlap between the programs.

anyways. i ramble.

I fix people's computers year-round, and paint houses/mow in the summer.
This summer I hope to get a job at Micro Center. (local computer place)

MicroCenter is AWESOME! I just wish there was one closer to me. :( (Nearest is an hour drive away. I'm stuck with CrapUSA, The Computer... Store)

I'm currently a full-time student, getting an Associate's degree in network engineering.

Well, I'm currently unemployed due to my stupid decision to quit my job in November. Luckily I have family willing to pay my debts knowing I will pay them back when I can.

Well, i'm only 13 so I don't have a job yet. But, when my Dad starts his electric guitar company, i'm going to make pickups and do the soldering work and stuff. :)
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...

I'm 15, and I work at Dairy Queen from March-November. (They close for the winter.) It's pretty cool, and the first thing everybody asks when I tell them that is "Can I get free ice cream?" and then I laugh in their face and say "No, but I can."

Also, bringing home a box of ice cream sandwiches is a great way to make Dad happy. ;)
