yeah, I thought the zombie thing was kind of fun.....and Oblivion deserves to be talked about....I mean, it is just an AWESOME game ;).

and Jones, have you played the Rainbow Six games for the original Xbox? If so, is Vegas like those or is it radically different? I used to play the original ones co-op online (sometimes vs) and I loved them :D.
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

Oblivion does rock pretty hard. I was shocked by how much I loved it, since I don't usually get into those sorts of games. Oblivion truly is something special and, as you said, deserves to be talked about. :D

Sadly, I never got a chance to play Rainbow Six on the original Xbox. I made the mistake of playing Splinter Cell first (didn't get into it at all) which put a bad taste in my mouth for Tom Clancy games at the time.

The reason I gave Vegas a shot in the first place was because I got to play the demo on the 360 and was impressed. Then I took a bullet and bought it and was even more impressed with the complete game. It's the first squad-based shooter that I can think of that did everything right. Usually the controls aren't mapped logically, but in this case they are perfect. I have played GRAW now as well and there is no comparison between it's controls and Vegas's.

The only "weak" part of Vegas is the ending which is somewhat dissatisfying for reasons I won't go into so as not to ruin anything in case you plan to check it out. It's actually a pretty tough game (even on the default difficulty) which is a nice change of pace from a lot of games that come out these days that seem overly easy. It actually requires to use strategy! Talk about a breath of fresh air for a FPS. :D

As for how it compares to the old games, I obviously can't say for sure. But I would suspect that if you enjoy squad-based shooters you'll love this one. I haven't had a chance to play co-op online yet, but I suspect it would be a lot of fun, since GoW is such a blast in co-op mode online.

I don't know if you're a 360 owner or not, but if you are and you pick Vegas up we should try co-op. Maybe VB Master would get in on it as well since I noticed that he picked it up the other day. I bet it would be a blast to play with 3 or 4 player co-op!

I'll download the demo tonight and try it out, then :D...of course, after I finish beating the new Oblivion stuff....finally downloaded it .

gamertag's Gamelver, and if it's anything like the old ones, I'll probably see you on Xbox live ;).

Hmmm...I wonder if the good ol' M203 Red Phosphorous grenade launcher is still around...god, I loved that thing. So nice for clearing out rooms, and hilarious to listen to the guys screaming around in pain after you hit 'em .

Cool. I need to get my copy of Oblivion back so I can play through the Mehrune's Razor download they made free for Christmas. Sounded pretty cool. Did you see that there is an expansion coming out for Oblivion that will add another 30 hours worth of gameplay? I believe it's called the Shivering Isles or something like that. Should be a good time. :)

Not sure about the red phosphorous grenade launcher. I know they have flashbangs and incendiaries that you can toss around to wreak havoc on the opposition. I love the Thermal Imaging visor and being able to target particular enemies for your squadmates to take out! There are a couple of sections where that comes in very handy. 8)
