EB Games trade-in prices suck

Post by Kurt_ »

I'm getting some free games and controllers for the n64 off someone sometime in the near future.

What's the easiest way to turn that junk into cash?

I'm thinking trading to EB Games. How much per N64 game/controller do they give you (not store credit).

Anyone done it recently?

(And by "junk" I mean, awesome, awesome amazing quality outdated nintendo products)

You'd be lucky if they even take it! Most places I go to now don't even carry PS1 games!

Most places I'm near have many PS1 games. And crappy sports SNES games nobody wants. WHich is why EB Games is a good bet for me.

They also have NES games, GBO games...

A friend of mine took some stuff in to GameStop a couple weeks ago and only got like $20 out of two entire boxes of N64 stuff and PSone stuff. They usually don't give very much at all from what I've seen. Then again, that is EB Games and they might. I wouldn't get my hopes up though.

I'm not hoping for much. I think I'm getting around 7 games and 3-4 controllers.

$20?

Gamestop has stopped taking n64 stuff. EB will, but don't expect a lot for it. Your better off selling it here. To me.

Yeah, they never give much, the title should really read:

"EB Games trade-in prices suck"

What's worse is if you take your money in cash instead of store credit, you only get 80% of what you would have gotten.

Done :P

I guess I'll sell them here. My dad (I am only 17, and thus, don't have a credit card) is a powerwhore, and must have the password to EVERYTHING that's his, even if he doesn't use it. Long story/rant short, he saved his password in a file he sent to an email, the email belonged to sympatico, we switched to rogers internet a year ago, and no password = new account.

Would YOU buy off a 0/1 star ebayer?

OK Here is the deal, They cannot make money if they give you full retail for you games, Also, most of the games EBGames gets are RE-furbished out, At least at mine, so you have to consider that cost, then the prices are raised a hair to compensate for the 10% discount card, And the age/Demand on that game, All in All, You sound like you were trading in older games or DVDs that you only recieved $1 of credit for, Next time just keep your games and get a Job at the store You will benefit in the long run
