No picture on official PSone screen.
'm not sure if this is the right place, so correct me if I am wrong.
I wired up the PSone motherboard to the PSone screen. It worked ok. I turned it off, went to get my psone screen speakers. Plugged the speakers in, turned it on. The music now comes on, but there is no picture. The backlight comes on aswell though. When I move the screen, the picture gets horisontal lines on it, and the backlight sometimes flashes. I put my thumb on it while it was turned on, and the backlight flashed. I think when I put my thumb on it, I shorted it out.
Is that possible? Fixable?

Un-bypass it? I'll see what it is when I get home (at friggen school).Rellizate wrote:Sorry for double post. I looked at it, and it turns out I bypassed the component labed either CI17 or C117. It's right at the topleft next to the plug with OK written on it. I'm not sure what that thing I bypassed is though... Any ideas on how to fix it?
If you wanted the brightness mod, heres what you bypass.

I put my thumb over many components of my screen, but never has it broke.
I got some cool effects though, like only red/green/blue, and wiggly pictures.
You touched the top part? It's possible your CCRT it broken (or whatever it's called. You backlight). You probably woulda felt something though, that things pumps out some juice.
Are you POSITIVE there's no picture? Shine a light behind it (A strong light throught e white plastic will work. If you can see picture on the LCD< it's your backlight. Then you can either LED mod it, or ask around for a free replacement from all those people who LED modded it.

But is it in ALL THE WAY?
In my experience with this screen, you get odd bars on one side of the screen for 2 reasons:
1) Extra pressure on the LCD messes it up
2) A loose/half-connected ribbon cable
Just try to jam it in a bit more. Try lifting up the little bar and jam it in that way.
Also, is it a PAL or NTSC screen?

If it's PAL have you tried the mod? I know you haven't LED modded it yet, but iut might do something. Hook 5 volts from one of the regulators up to the last pin (pin 12) on the left thingie (the word escapes me right now) at the bottom. It's white, and has 12 pins on it. You'll know the thing.
Hey, sup?
