The media player is OK, downside is that it relies on it's remote to operate (though, like I said, if you have space for the daughterboard on the risers in it's original design, it appears to have spots on the bottom of that for buttons... see also, microsurgery and roket science.)
As far as use, eh... I need to find somenody who reads japanese... I think... to get this thign going.
I tried ordering some more from that guy.... all out. I had two, and word to the rise... the power inverters should not be used.... both of mine caught fire within a minute of plugging it in...
other thatn that, the thing is pretty snazzy. video rate is good, but it's picky about the files it plays. navigation is difficult, because I only read leters that look like... well.. these ones. Sound is ok, but when you switch to the videos or music from the noac sound, it's GREAT!
If you do do this, play this trick on your friends. download an in game video of halo 2 or something fun like that and play it... be sure to press buttons as the movie is playing...
oh... that was priceless! They're all like "Dude! It's portable HALO!" and I was like... no... but it was Contra.

I just started work on the redesign today, I gota remember to take pics for a build log... there are some major case modifications for this kind of build, but I'm hoping this time you won't see them :)
