Flashing neon green and pink!

If the light purple could be changed to a blue, it would look nice. And is the white a light light light green? Could be my monitor.

I think its your monitor.

Get rid of the purple headers for blue or gray, and its great.

It's great! Just as a suggestion, well, just as I see it, fix up the JPEG. Looks a little blurry. But it looks beautiful!
Refusing to change my avatar since like freakin 2007.

Oh, jeez no! You used a JPEG for the to banner?!

For that kind of image you should use a 24 bit PNG file. No lossyness like you get with JPEG no matter what you do! :D (The fine lines look great, but the compression artifacts kill it. :( )

I think the side bar could be a bit more organized. Try some separators between each section of links. Maybe add a hue of saturated blue to the side bar to balance it out with the top. The purple could also easily be changed to a bluer color, and maybe put a rounded rectangular boundary around each (now purple) header.

Otherwise, I really like the idea.

looks good, but you may want to reconsider using wordpress. It seems like whenever a site that uses wordpress goes on digg, it goes down instantly. If you'd like, I can help you with a system like what I showed you last week. Who knows, I might actually finish it :P

Spongebuell: The reason for that could be the sql limit, but also wordpress seems to auto-register your content via RSS to feed search engines. I just noticed my rss script picked up some news from this beta just by searching for benheck.

The Grey sidebar section titles should be in bold, to distinguish them from the actual links. Also, some spaces inbetween the different sections and such would be nice.

Basically, what Skyone said.

I really like it, Ben, very straightforward and clean-cut; although I must say, don't be afraid to add some color and flair every now and then! God, that sounded gay.

I suppose that's probably the case (usually it's a SQL error) but I would imagine the system we use for PoD would use fewer queries per page view and take longer to crash.

I don't like it.. the lines in the header are too thin and close together, it's really pixelated.

I made a quick mock of yours, but without the lines, and I think it's a lot better..

Nice and clean, not pixelated.

OK I'll fix the header before I start soldering for the day.
