WTB: LCD Screen and/or Photo Viewer

Post by Kurt_ »

I'm hoping to make a digital picture frame.

Anyone have an LCD screen (torn apart and mangled is fine, as long as it works normally) 5" or larger?

And one of those fancy photo viewers, like the Sandisk one that takes SD cards and the likes.

I have a photo viewer and I actually have a 5" or 7" digital picture frame that I've never used.

I can let you know Wednesday exactly what I have, I'm at work right now. But I do know I'd let either go pretty cheap.

I'm not interested in an already-made DPFrame. THanks anyways.

A 7" LCD Monitor would be perfect, but if nobody has that, cheapest price (after shipping to Ontario) gets the money!

(Note Scherubino [or whatever] has a thread selling $30 OFFICIAL screens. Dunno what shipping is, but it's your job to beat that price!)

The screens don't NEED to be official, they just have to accept composite in (at the very least) and the guts should be somewhat thin (1" or less, preferably less)

That is EXACTLY the one I'm looking for. (Joedog's DPF viewer. FIgured I'd go with already-known-to-be-awesome hardware)

18$ + shipping?
or $18 with the price of shipping included in the $18? (Doesn't hurt to hope)

Keep in mind I am not in the US. I am in CANADA. L9G 3Y3, Ontario (ish, not exactly MY postal code, not sure who's but it's close enough to me to get an accurate shipping quote)

Either way, if it works, I'll take it.

You ARE aware how much it costs to ship things to Canada, right? I think it should be a tad higher than what you're suggesting. You should go to USPS.com and find out the price of shipping (Air, of course).

Do you want a deal or what ? :D

I've sold over 3000 items on Ebay, so I'm no stranger to shipping.

Paypal is : jonjandran@wavetel.us

I can ship tomorrow if you pay tonight.

I made a digital picture frame out of a sandisk photo viewer and a regular psone screen. It was pretty fun. I made it so I could plug/unplug everything inside the case (that way if I ever wanted to take anything out, it wasn't all hard-wired together).

Also, your gonna want a 7808 or some sort of voltage regulator becuase the photo viewer takes 12V but the psone screen takes 7.5.

It only takes 12V because it's made for a car. Most electronics run on 5V after all the regulation.

Hailrazer, I will pay soon, and PM when I do.

Still looking for a screen, but I'm running rather low on cash. Just the electronics are fine, if you please.
