My joystick is shorting out My N64 again I figured out which wire is doing it. You know how there's a white wire on one side? Well say that's the right and the other side with the grey is the left. The second wire from the left shorts out when it touches the first wire, or third?, I forgot which. But the crazy thing is they're not touching! I've looked over my wires they're not touching they're all carefully electrical taped closed. Where could they be touching?
Also i'm going to do some more tinkering and just take my ribbon cable of that extends the length and try that.

I got a new joystick that I didn't splice to make the cable longer and it works fine.
Does anybody know if I can just buy a cable from mouser to make the joysticks cable longer. If you do give me a part number. That way I won't ruin another joystick.
Also the people on the forumn said they'd rather have a bunch of little topics posted than one big one with a lot of topics. So I'm still going to post many if I have too. which shouldn't be too often. Sorry.
