I've already realized that I could not get a job at a fast food place, it's gotta be too boring standing all day putting meat, tomato, lettuce, etc between some buns. Hang in there, it'll get better sooner or later, especially if it's your first job. I had second thoughts after I started my job, and now it's just fine. Also, try and get to know the other employees. I've realized that the guys where I work are really cool. One is a master of Newsgroups and downloads almost anything he wants. Another is a pretty good gamer, and enjoys Metal Slug (though he has only played the XBox version, which I believe is different) I have even installed software on his chipped xbox.

I would recommend waiting about 2 weeks. If you have been working there somewhat constantly and are still miserable, than you could probably be in the clear for quitting.

a crappy job is actually how I got my name :D

just kidding: I didn't have it as bad as you guys: I volenteered as a museum once(the museum of tolerence aka holocaust museum) and it sucked really bad. not terrible, just incredibly annoying people that think it is the "kindness museum" becuase of its title. I most likely heard "arent you supposed to be tolerant of me?" about a hundred times in one day. the point is to be tolerant of people's cultures, not there witchy attitude! people these days dont seem to get it! ps. I wasn't being rude to them, just telling them they couldn't access certain areas of the floor that they didn't pay for...since I was A volenteer I stopped going after about a month of stuck up beverly hills types.

Heh, I tell you my favorite job was being a Cabana Boy, free booze, free food, 100$ each for 5 hours of work.

peppers: Don't hope to be fired. It always looks better to quit for reasons like getting another job than to be fired, and then you'll have a hell of a time finding a better job. People will be like "How can we hire peppers, when even a fast food job was too hard?" :)

i had to work at a Pawn shop in Indiana my boss was bi-polar so you did not want to make him mad. I got fired when i asked if i could take a Gamecbe and he could just take it from my check he asked why and i said that i needed it for my Nintendo 64 and it made hime made (he cursed the names of Sonys Playstaion and Nintendo so he loves XBOX)

it was weird becouse they had NOACs all over the place but for $70
