I was reading that topic about the Gamecube in a NES (which is pretty cool) and the "melted pen becomes screwdriver" trick. I gave it a try, and next thing I knew, I was designing a N64p! Strange how that works...
I think I got that disorder... Whenever I get something new, I want to tear it apart and find out how it works...

Since he made a replacement for the Nomad, why not a replacement for the Turbo Express? It had some pretty big flaws- like, no way to hook it up to a CD-ROM... TurboDuo Express? ;)

good luck getting RGB out of that sucker...u need a 96 or early 97 board with the right U4 chip to find the RGB lines and then u also need to attach an additional amp circuit to each line.....gahhhh

Since when do you need an amp circuit on each line? A 220uF capacitor works fine.

I'll probably use the YC (S-video) connections off the N64 and send that to the PSone screen. That thing's GOTTA take s-video!

Yeah I know there's a lot more systems than my book covers... maybe if it does well I can do a "sequel" HACKING VIDEOGAMES: RELOADED - THE PHANTOM MENACE RISE OF THE MACHINES RETURNS

I'm pretty sure the psone screen doesn't have inputs for S-video :(.....you could, however, mod the N64 to output RGB, and use that :). although the mod on gamesx.com supposedly makes the image darker :(. (here's a link for the rgb mod)

why must you play with our emotions with sarcasm about a sequel to a book that we are (pretty much) all going to buy ben? :(

seriously: when are you going to start writing it?if it doesn't do well I will buy 2 copies so the sequel gets published...

Wow the title consists of all the overrated and also disapointing sequals. So in the sequal would you have PS2, N64, maybe the MGD computer and the Radica/NOAC system.

And as for the video on the N64. Yeah the early ones are easier to mod I've read, and the PSOne screen doesnt take S-Video. Dont know if your interested in trying it but you could use the Hip Gear Screen its only composite but its dirt cheap compared to the PSOne screen or a tv.
