I hate that when some games make you go through a tutorial making you try out inverted. I'm looking at you Halo! Its in the options, if people want it, they can go change it!

Anyways, dont care for inverted, dont know anyone who does.

Invert, if I'm stuck with it and it's a game I get into, boarders on Halo turny, I can get used to it fast. Though I often don't use it, all too often I'll go to look down, and instead look up, and a second later I'm dead. Followed closely by a controller throw to the floor if I'm 25 kills behind and I haven't been able to make a single kill myself.

I thought it was silly as hell when Halo PC did the whole invert thing during the tutorial, before which I had never heard of it. I don't know...maybe it makes more sense on a console.

Yes, always. Non-inverted makes me play like crap (even more so than usual).

I do .. but the only reason is because when I first got my x box ( second hand ) halo was set to invert and I have just gotten use to it .. annoys the hell out of my friends though.
ahh. but opinions can change and facts can be faulty.

I can't play inverted. Ever.

On a side note, anyone who thinks that mouse and keyboard aren't better, you're wrong. It's awesome.

You all suck. Inverted is the way to go. Like Tim said, there IS a connection between the joystick and the object in the game you're controlling.

I don't play inverted for games where the mouse or other X-Y position indicator is right against the object. It's like a teeter totter, and the fulcrum is the screen. If you're away from it, you gotta push down to go up. If you're touching it, you need to move up to go up (because you're moving the fulcrum when using a mouse or touch screen)

Out of the three people in this room who care, Me and John say YES, OH GOD YES to inverted, and the exchange student (Finland or Belgium) says he hates it.

The preference may have something to do with the users imagination. If you feel you ARE the person with the gun, up goes up. But if you feel you're controlling a puppet kind of thing, you need to yank down on the back of the head to make him look up in the front

I really, really don't like playing FPSes on consoles (WASD+mouse FTW), but when I do, I must set it to inverted. The first time I played Halo with my cousins I royally got my ass kicked until I could convince them to finally let me change to inverted. I think it's because I used to play space combat games, etc. on the PC with a joystick and that's how they were always set up.

Also, that's, you know, how you move your head in real life. When you want to look down, do you tilt your head backward? Haha.
