battery problems

Post by Master of Portables »

i took a 7.2 volt battery and moved 2 battery cells so that the battery would not hang over the edge of my portable, and apparently when I plug it into my charger, it doesn't detect that it is there, is there something wrong that i have overlooked? the charger is a 9.6 volt charger, and I reconnected the moved battery terminals with wires...

Um, if you haven't noticed, chargers output more voltage than the battery pack is. So it should be ok, unless its a smart charger, then it depends on if its smart enough to tell that its a 7.2v pack.
