Old computer keyboard port!?

What is the name of the keyboard port on OLD computers, I have a computer from 1996. Hard drive is 2 GB I think lol! I turned it on and it works but I need a keyboard or it gives errors and wont boot to windows! It isent PS/2 or USB? What is it its all funk! I have DOOM 2 on it and want to play for the hell of it!

It's the big round one, right? It's PS2 with a different plug size.
What you need is a DIN5 (Aka just DIN) male to mini-DIN6 (Aka just midi-DIN) female. That should do it. Google for it.

I beleive they have the converters and the materials for converters at radioshack.

I remember the IBM PS/2 not related to the keyboard port but oh what a nice machine back in the day

yeah a lot of people really like the old school keyboards because they are mechanical (make that loud clicking noise when you press the keys). they actually catch a fair price on ebay for ones in good condition.

I have one. Bought it off of a friend for $3. It was pretty dirty, so I took it apart, cleaned it, replaced the worn cable with one my dad had from a broken keyboard, and now it works great! I plan on changing the green LEDs with blue LEDs soon.
