My playstation stopped working.

Post by Gump-in-space »

The thing turns on, spins the disk for a few seconds, then stops. It tells me "please insert playstation game disk" or something like that even when I put in a music CD. I know it's not the discs because they work on a friends system. Any help would be good.

Sounds like it can't read the discs properly. Try cleaning the lens with a Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol.
