yeah, I saw this somewhere on the forum. it's amazing to think the liquid crystal in the screen didn't boil when it was on fire. if it still works, how are you going to play it when the keys are melted together?

I have the issue of Nintendo Power that that originally showed up in. :) Some army guy lost it to a fire, and was surprised to find it among the rubble, and still working! And being the awesome company they were then (and still kinda, sorta are), Nintendo sent the guy another BRAND NEW gameboy!

It's on display at some Nintendo place last I heard. Pretty sweet.

Anybody remember when EGM tested the GBA? They flushed it, stomped on it, dropped it, and a few other rough things. It still survived. Let's see a DS go through that and live to tell about it! :P My point is, they don't make them like they used to.

Actually the DS Mark I, a.k.a. The Tank probably could survive that. The touchscreen might get broken though

Yep, that old paper weight was like a tank :P
Good thing too since it was in the hands of a lot of kids.

My GBC sat in chocolate milk in my backpack for 2 weeks, and still works.

Dragon Warrior III didn't fare so well...

Are you kidding? my 16 year old idiot sister flops it around in her purse and everywhere and the screen hinge broke right off and it's dangling.
plus when I let my mom use mine she flipped the screen down and my ds got a scratch on the screen plate
Edit- I meant for this post to be for gannon

Yeah...I never thought 'the tank' was that durable.
I't's got a very easy to break hinge and really thin plastic.
NOW THE ORIGINAL GAMEBOY WAS THE STRONG ONE!
EDIT-Did you mean the the GBO was the tank?
