I see them a lot before the mods do. Then again, I'm also on here a lot at 3 in the morning, so that might have something to do with it. :P

What do we do with spammys that post in un-spammy threads?
Ignore it?
also, let's all go to another forum we like individually, observe what they use, then report it back to HQ (Right here. In this thread.)

Yes. Just ignore it. A mod will delete the post as soon as posible.

Did Ben install that anti-spambot thing? Because I haven't seen any spambots for the last couple days.

No, but we've banned a lot of common spam-bot email addresses

Thank you.

Because so of you think it's annoying to look at them try setting aside a minimum of an hour a day to do nothing but delete posts/thread and spam bot accounts. Hell I still have several hundred left between September and November to clear out. So before I read more post about how you members are tired, try first doing what we tell you; don't respond to them. Then think of the fact that you don't really have any of the tire-some work of maintaining the forums by removing these damn things.

Because you're obviously a spambot! :P
Ends up the way phpBB does things is it the same form for registration as for editing the profile (with some minor changes), so when the mod was added to registering, it affected that too. Probably can be easily fixed though.

Yeah, we finally got a mod in there that asks what 2+2 is, and it seems to be working... but yeah, there is that little bug. At least you can still edit your profile (to the best of my knowledge, at least)

Yeah, my profile is still editable.
Message spambots recieve wrote:If you do not know what 2+2 is, do not bother signing up. Honestly, I am amazed you even got this far. But yeah, we talk about some stuff that usaully requires the intelligence of knowing what 2+2 equals, so you should either try again or go away.

The bot creators will eventually learn and program the bots to put 4 in.. You need to put a random generator in so it's not always 4...

They'll most likely move on to forums without such fancy security :P....
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!
