My crazy windows problem!

since a few days ago my screen hasnt been scrolling properly, like when i scroll down in stutters and goes back up, and i have to keep scrolling to go down. Help?

First check the mouse settings under control panel
Second check to see if you have defraged your hard drive
Third check to see that if you have any high resource, low use, programs running in the background
Forth if non of the above works, perform backup (hopefully you've done regular backup/restorer markings), is you can't archive all important files and data and reinstall.

Try turning off text anti-aliasing. That will speed things up a bit until you find the underlying problem.

no its not fixed, and i dont have a wireless moose...

That sounds slightly like what happens when you uninstall video drivers. Please be more specific, though.

Try using a differnt mouse, see if that fixes it.

If that doesnt work check for rogue things.... task manager, service manager, msconfig, ie plugins/active-x that might be the problem. If its not the mouse odds are you have something rogue. Sometimes JVM does crazy stuff like that for me when its running.

Ya this might just be a shot in the dark but try renistaling your video drivers, when you move windows aroung in your sceen does it look all blocky and not to smooth as well ?

Thats what happens to me when i reinstall Windows. Once i install the Nvidia drivers everything is fine and dandy
