Vampire Hunter D Novel

Post by gannon »

This might not mean much to many people here, but
Dark Horse Comics has announced plans to release an English translated version of Hideyuki Kikuchi's first Vampire Hunter D novel, originally published in Japan in 1983. The 300 page novel will include its original 8 interior illustrations by Yoshi-taka Amano and retail at $8.95 beginning May 4th.
I've been waiting for this book to be translated for over 8 years, I'm kinda psyched to find out that it's finally being translated :)

Edit:
Just realized that the auto censor got the name :)

If its anything like th manga versions of animes (or vise versa) I'll probibly like it. I just hope he's dressed like in Bloodlust, as in the origainal anime it just looked..... wrong.

Sweet, I actually learn Japanese to be able to get some understanding of the original novel and actually come to Japan, THEN they decide to translate it. Oh well, its cool. At least you get a cool book.
Also, if you can find it, I would recommend Battle Royal. The novel and the first movie are awsome. I have not seen the second movie. But the first novel was freaking awsome. I mean freaking awsome.
When in Japan with access to just about every system ever made and those that have yet to see international soil, gather your forces, and make the cool ones your own.
