battery life estimate

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

how much time would a 9V alkaline battery power the N64 + Psone screen w/o LED mod?

It wouldn't power it. It can't suply enough amps.

That also depends on the efficiency of the 3.3V and 5V conversions to the board.

lets assume 100% efficiency

1.5A max on the 3.3v line ~= 500mA
600mA on the 5v line ~= 300mA

so around 800mA draw max from the battery. (which is pretty optimistic cause the overall efficiency is probably closer to 70% or something.) assuming it can source that current, then it will last maybe 40 or 50 minutes.

now, my personal opinion is that if it could source the current and your converters are more realistic, it might last 25 minutes. or something.

but as daguuy said, it cant source the current.

(oh, and thats for an alkaline battery. for a rechargeable one, divide the times by 4)
