Analog stick repairs

I have been searching around ,and i found some topics about some kind of rubber band-thingy along with greasing the stick. i found a great website for the greasing but i was wondering if someone could post some pics & instructions about the band-thingy.

ive found both of those and i think i will try one or both, but i wasnt sure if i had heard anything about a rubber band-thingy

Are you sure that there are rubber bands in n64 analogs? because i think it's a spring that centers the stick.

It is a spring. mean a rubber spacer(finally remembered the name) might make the control stick tighter and more responsive, by the way i tried the lubricating thingies; they didn't really help.

I'd suggest stretching the spring a little to center the stick better.
N64 analogs sure do make good grinders. (Mario party anyone?)
